Hand Crafted on Orcas Island
A single taste of a Sweet Craft Bakeshop treat will have you thinking you’ve been transported to a patisserie in France.
With all the favorite French confections like tarts and eclairs, the real stars of the show are the macarons, with traditional flavors like chocolate and pistachio as well as unique creations like hibiscus lemon. This specialty bakeshop also crafts custom cakes in collaboration with clients. These true works of art enhance celebrations and special occasions, including weddings, birthdays, baby showers, and private events. Seasonally inspired with locally sourced ingredients whenever possible, each one-of-a-kind pastry is carefully crafted by hand.
Sweet Craft Bakeshop has been preparing artisanal sweets on Orcas Island since 2021. We are proud to be a local, woman-owned business serving residents and visitors alike. Take home a delicious souvenir handcrafted on Orcas Island or include us in your next special occasion. We would feel honored to be part of your visit or event.
Pastry Chef
Lisa Walters is an artist.
After growing up in a farm town in Montana, she moved to Seattle in 1998 before settling on Orcas Island in 2019. Always an avid cook and baker, Lisa took up French pastry as a hobby and eventually left a more than 20-year career as a graphic artist to pursue her passion for pastry. Her design background and attention to detail proved perfectly suited for handcrafting pastries that are as beautiful as they are delicious.
Realizing there was a void in the local market, Lisa converted her hobby into a profession and started Sweet Craft Bakeshop in 2021. Hers remains the premier local business specializing in French pastry and custom baked goods.
